Engineering Students Compete in Bridge Building Competition
Students from Warren Tech's Engineering program recently competed in the Bridge Building Competition held at Union County Community College in Cranford, NJ. As part of the competition, team's design, draw and construct a bridge using only tongue depressors, wooden dowels, Elmer's white glue and string. The object is to see how much weight the bridge can support using the least amount of materials. Warren Tech entered two teams of sophomore Engineering students into the competition. Out of 24 teams, Warren Tech's entries placed 7th place (held 81.41 pounds) and 10th (held 75.79 pounds) place respectively.
