Exciting test-drive fundraising event will generate much-needed money for Warren Tech Athletics

Washington, NJ – Warren County Technical School’s Athletics department is expanding. The school offers 10 sports programs and recently joined the NJSIAA and the Skyland’s Conference. With this expansion comes new opportunities for students, but also increased costs. Smith Motor Company wants to support these opportunities available for Warren Tech students. Smith Motor Company, a member of the Warren County community for 93 years, is bringing Ford Motor Company’s Drive 4 UR School program to the school on April 28th in an effort to raise up to a maximum donation of $9,000 for Warren Tech Athletics. For every person who test-drives a new Ford vehicle at the school on April 28, 2018, Ford Motor Company will donate up to $30 to Warren Tech Athletics.

“Athletics programs are expensive to run, but are an important part of the overall development of students,” said Warren Tech Athletic Director, Gary Colucci. “We are always trying to enhance the educational and athletic experiences for students and offer the best programs possible. As with everything else, increasing costs and constrained budgets provide challenges, so we are excited to partner with Smith Motor Company to offset some of these costs.”

The event, which will be held from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, will feature many vehicles from Ford’s impressive lineup.

“Whether you are looking to test out our vehicles, like the Focus, or want to try out technology features, like active park assist in the Escape, we will be able to put you behind the wheel of your favorite Ford vehicle,” said John Smith, from Smith Motor Company.

Dealership staff on-site will be able to assist and provide additional information regarding any of the Ford vehicles available for a test-drive. To date, Ford Dealerships across the United States have helped raise more than $35 million for local schools and nonprofits, thanks to their hard work and working with the Drive 4 UR School and Drive 4 UR Community programs.

To participate in this exciting event and test-drive your favorite Ford vehicle, please visit Warren County Technical School at 1500 Route 57 in Washington between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm on April 28, 2018.
